FAQ's

I would like to book Goosebumps for my event - how much do they charge?

There are several factors that can determine the fee such as location, the type of event, day of the week and how long you require the band to play for. Please get in touch with the specific date of your event and Goosebumps will be more than happy to quote you a cost and availability.

Do Goosebumps have adequate insurance cover and PAT tested equipment?

Yes - Goosebumps has public liability insurance and all electrical equipment is fully PAT tested. Many venues will not allow bands to perform unless they have public liability and PAT tested equipment.

What happens once we have booked the band to play our event - will we receive a contract?

Yes, Goosebumps have a written contract that can be emailed or posted to you once the date and location of the performance has been confirmed. The contract needs to be signed and returned to Goosebumps.

Are Goosebumps able to learn any songs that are not listed on the Song List for my wedding/function/party?

The band are willing to learn a special song providing that they have enough time in which to do so - their hectic gigging schedule means that rehearsal time is limited. If they are unable to learn a requested song in time for your function then they are happy to play a CD or iPod of the song through their sound system.

How long will the band need to set their equipment up?

Goosebumps require between 45 - 60 minutes to fully set up their equipment.

How long do they play for?

Typically, Goosebumps play 2 x 45 minute sets with a 15 minute break in between. The band is extremely flexible and if an event requires music for irregular time periods this is of course possible with prior arrangement.

Are they able to play outside?

Yes, as long as the band is adequately protected from the elements (including sunshine) and that it is safe to do so e.g. power sources are protected etc.

Do Goosebumps just play swing music? Can they play any other styles?

Although swing is what they are known for, they also perform a very tight funk set, with a bit of ska and rock n' roll thrown in should the event call for it.

As well as booking Goosebumps for our event, we were wondering if they also offer suitable live music while our guests are eating?

Yes, they can offer an acoustic duo called Joon. Consisting of Mark and Ben of Goosebumps, Joon play a mix of mellow jazz tunes, slow ballads and up-tempo swing numbers to create the perfect atmosphere for weddings, dinner parties and restaurants. For more information on Joon, please see their dedicated website - www.joonmusic.co.uk

What will the band wear?

Depending on the event, vintage suits, 1940's Swing-style clothing or smart-casual at your discretion.

Will the band expect food and drink to be provided?

Goosebumps do not expect food, although any food and drink offered will always be more than welcome!
