FAQ's
I would like to book you for my event - how much do you charge?
There are several factors that can determine our fee such as location, the type of event, day of the week and how long you require us to play for. Please get in touch with us with the specific date of your event and we will be more than happy to quote you a cost and availability.
Do you have adequate insurance cover and PAT tested equipment?
Yes - Goosebumps has public liability insurance and all electrical equipment is fully PAT tested. Many venues will not allow bands to perform unless they have public liability and PAT tested equipment.
What happens once we have booked the band to play our event - will you send us a contract?
Yes, we have a written contract that we will post to you once we have agreed the date and location of the performance. We send two copies of the contract - one needs to be signed and returned to us and the other is for you to keep.
Are you able to learn any songs that are not listed in your Song List for my wedding/function/party?
We are willing to learn a special song providing that we have enough time in which to do so - our hectic gigging schedule means that we do have limited rehearsal time. If we are unable to learn a requested song in time for your function then we are happy to play a CD of it through our sound system.
How long will you need to set your equipment up?
We require between 45 - 60 minutes to fully set up the equipment.
How long do you play for?
Typically, we play two 45 minute sets with a 15 minute break in between. We are extremely flexible and if an event requires music for irregular time periods this is of course possible with prior arrangement.
Are you able to play outside?
Yes, as long as we're adequately protected from the elements (including sunshine) and that it is safe to do so e.g. power sources are protected etc.
Do you guys just play Swing music? Can you play any other styles?
Although Swing is what we are known for, we do also know a lot of the classic pop, soul and funk songs and are always happy to play them in our set if required.
As well as booking Goosebumps for our event, we were wondering if you also offer suitable live music while our guests are eating?
Yes, we can offer an acoustic duo called Joon. Consisting of Mark and Ben of Goosebumps, Joon play a mix of mellow jazz tunes, slow ballads and up-tempo swing numbers to create the perfect atmosphere for weddings, dinner parties and restaurants. What will you wear?
Depending on the event, vintage suits, 1940's Swing-style clothing or smart-casual at your discretion.
Will the band expect food and drink to be provided?
We will not expect food, although any food and drink offered will always be more than welcome!
